Hebrews 12:1-13

"Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders, and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with
perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith..."

We arrived on Sunday, December 30th, and 18 days later, Thursday, January 17th, we are getting ready to leave.  The time has flown by like a jet.  As you can tell from reading our previous posts, we have been blessed to overflowing during our visit.  This morning our devotional centered around understanding that it is God's power working through us that gives us the competence we need to fulfill what He has called us to.  We talked about how Gideon was courageous but lacked confidence to fulfill the mission God called him to, but once he gained confidence He was able to move forward obediently and see God work through him. We also talked about how God gives us the ministry of reconciliation, (2 Corinthians 5) and we (the visitors) shared how much we had seen this reality being lived out through the Cassell family, as well as all the people they work and partner with in Kenya.  We can not thank everyone enough for the great gift of hospitality they have shown us, and the opportunities to have our confidence increased so we can come home and serve God more effectively.  We also want to thank all of you who have supported us financially and through your prayers for helping God's love being worked out in Kenya in a very special way.
